San Antonio, Texas — Texas Parasport, a leading adaptive sports organization dedicated to empowering athletes with physical disabilities, is proud to announce the rebranding of its flagship event. The Texas Regional Games, known for over a decade as one of the premier adaptive sports competitions in the region, will now be known as the Texas Parasport Games.

The name change reflects a strategic step forward, aligning the event more closely with Texas Parasport’s overall mission to inspire and support adaptive athletes while creating a clear, recognizable identity for the competition. The Texas Parasport Games will continue the tradition of excellence, providing a platform for athletes to compete, connect, and achieve their personal bests.

"This rebrand marks an exciting new chapter," said Wendy Gumbert, Director of Texas Parasport. "The new name reflects our focus on adaptive sports and better communicates the heart of the competition to athletes, spectators, and partners. We are thrilled to carry this momentum into 2025 and beyond."

The 2025 Texas Parasport Games, in partnership with The Hartford, will remain part of the Move United Hartford Competition Series, one of only five prestigious events in the United States. The event brings together athletes of all ages and abilities to compete in track and field, archery, powerlifting, and more.

Since its inception in 2011, the event has served as a vital stepping stone for developing Paralympic athletes and fostering a vibrant, inclusive sports community.

Texas Parasport invites the public to follow the journey of the Texas Parasport Games on its social media channels and website, where registration will open on February 1, 2024.
